Talking Points Memo reports that John McCain has sent a robocall to voters in his home State of Arizona. This part of the recording sounds like desperate stuff:
If Democrats win full control of government, they will want to give civil rights to terrorists and talk unconditionally to dictators and state sponsors of terror. It's also strange that he appears to be wasting money in his own State where he should have a comfortable lead.

I really hate that stuff--it's feeding off of people's fears.
I find myself giggling when I read "civil rights for terrorists" - the irony in that statement's complete denial of the presumption of innocence really gets me.
I agree with Dina - the whole McCain campaign at this point is about playing on fears (even digging out the reds from under the bed).
In this case it's the "blues".
Why would it be 'wasting money' ? He knows he's in trouble in multiple places, so spending a little in Arizona to assure his homestate to keeping it on his side seems like a pretty normal move.
It's only a fraction of what he's spending in places like Penssylvania.
